In addition to the meal-containing seeds, the coloured rat feed also contains high-quality oilseeds and nuts. Peanuts are rich in protein and contain a variety of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The nuts also contain valuable trace elements such as copper, manganese, zinc and fluorine. It is not for nothing that the "power nut" is used as a staple food in many countries! The peanuts are deliberately left in their shells so that rats kept at home can make their own food to some extent.
The seeds and nuts are supplemented with a high proportion of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers. Depending on the individual basic requirements of the pack, this basic food mixture can be supplemented daily with fresh food.
