The wood of the quince is characterised by its dense, even structure and has a slightly rough surface, which offers the animals an intense and at the same time pleasant nibbling experience.
The bark is relatively thin and not as strongly structured as that of many other woods, which makes it particularly interesting for the animals. The twigs have a light, fruity scent that stimulates the animals' natural behaviour and motivates them to gnaw and play.
The quince branches have a diameter of 1 cm to 2 cm and a length of 3 cm to 10 cm. These different sizes offer both smaller and larger animals a variety of gnawing options.
The wood is particularly hard and durable, making it an ideal choice for animals that need to gnaw vigorously to keep their teeth healthy.
For birds, the natural care of this wood is helped by the abrasion of the beak.
The natural wood is completely untreated and free from harmful chemicals, colourings or flavourings. This ensures that your pets enjoy a safe and healthy snack that also encourages their natural behaviour.
As well as being used as a snack, the quince branches are also ideal for crafting. You can use them to build creative enclosure designs, playgrounds or bridges to add variety to your animals' lives.
Application
Simply place the branches in the enclosure, cage or aviary. For birds, the wood can also be easily hung up or integrated into toys. Ideal for daily activity and encouraging natural behaviour.
