Almond kernels
Almond kernels are the edible seeds of the almond, a nut fruit that comes from almond trees. They are delicious and nutritious and are often used as a snack or ingredient in our parrot food.
For rodents and birds, almond kernels are a good addition to the diet in moderation.
They contain important nutrients such as protein, fibre, healthy fats and carbohydrates. The exact amount you give them will depend on the size of the animal and its individual nutritional needs. Remember that almond kernels are also high in calories, so they should not be fed in excessive amounts.
Almond kernels contain various minerals and vitamins that are important for the health of your animals. Minerals include calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium, which are important for bone structure, muscle contraction and electrolyte balance.
