Degus Leaves & Blossoms

The food mix with leaves and flowers is a healthy and nutritious diet for degus. Degus are found in South America (Chile) and their habitat consists of semi-arid shrubland. They are pure herbivores eating mainly leaves, bark and seeds. The mixture with leaves and flowers is modelled on nature and consists of 74 % leaves and stems, 13 % roots and 13 % flowers.

The untreated leaves come mainly from local fruit trees. The mixture is supplemented with leaf and plant components from herbs and weeds that are said to have positive effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Examples are nettles and dandelion, but also dill and parsley.

The flowers they contain are also known from herbal medicine: Marigolds, camomile flowers, lavender flowers or cornflowers. They are said to have a calming, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Chamomile flowers also help with respiratory diseases.

Ein sehr tolles qualitativ hochwertiges Produkt.

Meine Rennmäuse lieben die Blattmischung. Ich finde die Qualität der Blätter und Blüten viel besser als die Produkte die es im Tierladen zu kaufen gibt.
