Millet, red

Red millet has a compact panicle shape and is therefore easy to confuse with silver millet. It differs from silver millet in its red grain colour, which can be seen after dehulling.

Like other types of millet, red millet is rich in minerals and trace elements. The high protein content makes millet easily digestible and nutritious. In contrast to foxtail millet, the grains are larger and the panicle shape is looser. Red millet provides your birds and rodents with variety in their diet and a species-appropriate activity when picking the individual grains.
