Did you know that a sand bath is one of the little rodents' daily rituals? They use it to care for their fur and rid it of excess sebum. It also serves as a natural claw care and is often used to relieve stress.
On hot summer days, it is possible to put the bathing sand in the fridge and fill it into the sand bath as soon as it is pleasantly cool. This provides natural cooling in the enclosure and your pet will be very happy about it.
