Timothy grass
Timothy grass seeds, also known as meadow grass seeds, are the seeds of the timothy grass plant (Festuca pratensis). This plant is one of the most common grass species in meadows and pastures and has a very small seed, which is naturally very popular with small pets.

Timothy grass seeds are often used as food for budgies, cockatiels, agapornids, pink cockatoos, sparrow parrots, finches such as zebra finches, gouldamadins and canaries . They are rich in nutrients such as protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals which help maintain a healthy diet.

Timothy seeds can also be beneficial for rodents such as dwarf hamsters, rats or mice . They provide a natural source of fibre, which helps to promote healthy digestion and wear down the rodents' teeth.

To include timothy seeds in your pets' diet, you can offer them as part of a mix with other healthy seeds and grains. It is important to adjust the amount of timothy seeds according to the individual needs of your pets and ensure that they receive a balanced diet.
