Dwarf Hamster Roborowski Gourmet Menu

Wild Roborowski's dwarf hamsters feed mainly on plant seeds. A smaller proportion of their diet is made up of leaves, stems and insects. This food mix has been specially adapted to the needs of Roborowski dwarf hamsters and contains a rich selection of seeds as well as a high proportion of grass seeds to support the natural drive to forage for food. The main feed contains 68.8 % flour-containing seeds, 23 % oil-containing seeds, 4.4 % flowers and herbs as well as 3.8 % animal protein.

In order to offer the hamster a natural activity also in pet keeping, it is recommended to scatter the feed in the enclosure. In this way, the Roborowski dwarf hamster can find its own food and is encouraged to move around.

This staple food deliberately does not contain fatty nuts and seeds. Instead, it contains many small-grained and high-quality oil seeds in the form of plant seeds. Turnip greens, clover seeds, carrot seeds and co. are rich in minerals and trace elements.

Feeding recommendation1-2
