As eclectus parrots are prone to fatty tumours and liver damage if fed incorrectly, we have focussed on high-quality ingredients and small-grain seeds when selecting the oil seeds. Hemp seeds, for example, contain a very good ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. Milk thistle seeds are said to have hepatoprotective properties. Niger seeds, on the other hand, contain over 50 % unsaturated fatty acids, which have a positive effect on the bird's body. They are also rich in calcium and phosphorus.
In addition to the composition, it is crucial for a healthy diet for noble parrots that the total proportion of dry food does not exceed 40 % of the daily requirement. The majority of the diet for noble parrots must be covered by fresh food!

Please check the weight of your birds regularly and adjust the daily amount of food accordingly. An annual health check by an avian vet is also recommended. Also remember to provide fresh water (several times) a day!

Gutes gemischtes Hauptfutter
Frucht und Nuss war das erste Futter was ich bestellt hatte. Damals war ich so angewidert von dem Futter in den Geschäften, ob loses oder abgepacktes Futter, überall kamen die Motten nach einiger Zeit raus. Mein Papagei wollte es nicht mehr fressen, was ich ihm nicht verdenken konnte. Dann habe ich diese Firma Mixerama zufällig im Internet gesehen, die das Futter reinigt und einfach mal bestellt. Rudi liebt das Futter und nirgends mehr Motten. Ich werde es immer wieder bestellen.

Meine Edelpapageien lieben es!
Ich habe das Mixerama Edelpapageifutter Frucht und Nuss für meine beiden Edelpapageien gekauft und sie sind absolut begeistert! Die Mischung aus verschiedenen Früchten und Nüssen ist perfekt auf ihre Bedürfnisse abgestimmt und sie stürzen sich regelrecht darauf. Ich kann sehen, wie sie mit Begeisterung das Futter genießen. Es ist auch schön zu sehen, dass die Qualität der Zutaten hochwertig ist und das Futter frei von künstlichen Zusätzen ist.
