Eclectus Parrots Vegetables & Herbs

The feed mix with vegetables and herbs is a high-quality nutritional basis for noble parrots. The feeders mainly feed on fruits, flowers, buds and nuts. This fresh food should make up 60-70% of their daily diet. Our mix supplements the fresh food with 38% floury seeds, 28.5% vegetables, 28% oily seeds, 3% herbs and 2.5% flowers. In this food we have omitted dried fruits, sunflower seeds and nuts. They can be given separately to the noble parrots and thus be adapted to their needs.

When selecting the vegetables, we paid attention to low-sugar and low-fat varieties, such as courgette, cucumber, spinach or broccoli. Therefore, the mixture can also be used as a dietary supplement to fresh food for overweight noble parrots.

The herbs and flowers contained are known from herbal medicine. Oregano, thyme, rosemary and camomile flowers are said to have a positive effect on the bird's health.

Cardi, canary seed, carrot, beetroot, pumpkin seeds (hulled), naked oats, rosehip seeds, paddy rice, silver millet, plata millet, milo, perilla, turnip rape, buckwheat, barley (hulled), wheat, tomato flakes, linseed, milk thistle seed, niger seed, dari, manna millet, hemp seed, Adzuki beans, mung beans, courgettes, parsnips, green peppers, red peppers, pumpkin flakes, potato, lemon balm leaves, oregano, cucumber slices, hibiscus flowers, mallow flowers, spinach stems, broccoli, parsley root, rosemary, thyme, camomile flowers, chilli peppers.

Feeding recommendation2-3

tsp per day per bird. Offer the mixture daily in a ratio of 30:70 with fresh fruit and vegetables!

Our tip
Please check the weight of your birds regularly and adjust the daily feed quantity accordingly. It is also advisable to have an annual health check-up with a veterinarian who knows birds. Also remember to give them fresh water (several times) a day!

Gesundes, leckeres 😋 Futter

Gemüse und Kräuter ist eines der beiden Hauptfutter die mein Papagei täglich in sein Napf bekommt. Er mag es sehr gerne bis auf die Gurken Scheiben die er aussortiert. Dieses Futter macht nicht dick und er darf so viel davon fressen wie er mag. Ich werde es wieder kaufen.
