The cut meadow grass hay comes 100 % from growth on permanent grassland. Permanent grassland refers to an agricultural area that has been used to grow grass or other green fodder plants for at least 5 years. The meadow grass grown there consists of a variety of different herbs and grasses: German Ryegrass, Cocksfoot, Tall Fescue, Red Fescue, Welsh Ryegrass, Timothy, Meadow Fescue, Red Clover, White Clover, Meadow Ryegrass, Smooth Oats, Golden Oats, Annual Ryegrass, Horned Melilot, Meadow foxtail, red bunchgrass, alexandrine clover, common plantain, ribwort plantain, camomile, creeping bentgrass, meadow foamwort, quaking grass, cotton grass, cuckoo flower, crested wheatgrass, bedstraw and many more. This hay is species-appropriate and original, as it forms the food supply of wild rabbits.
Herbs, root vegetables and flowers are also added to the meadow grass hay. The flowers are known from herbal medicine and support the organism in a positive way. Calendula flowers, for example, have an anti-inflammatory effect.
