Large Parrots Fruit & Vegetables

The main feed with fruits, berries and vegetables is a balanced premium mix for macaws, cockatoos and other large parrots. The food contains 37 % oily seeds, 29 % floury seeds, 20 % fruits and berries and 14 % vegetables.

Tropical fruits meet the nutritional requirements of South American large parrots. Papayas have superfood qualities, as they are true vitamin C bombs. Other ingredients are provitamin A, phosphorus, calcium, iron and sodium. Mangoes are also rich in vitamins C, E and B, including vitamin B1, and folic acid. They protect the immune system and preserve cells from the negative effects of stress. A property that is not amiss in home bird keeping. Berries are also very rich in vitamins and score with a relatively low proportion of fructose.

With vegetables, varieties have been selected that are low in fat and sugar to buffer the fruit content. For example, the feed mix with fruit & vegetables contains cucumber slices and courgettes in beak-friendly cubes. Chilli, peppers, pumpkin, beetroot, broccoli, carrot and potato round off the premium food for large parrots.

Feeding recommendation

Daily per bird about 5% of its healthy weight (consider the requirements of the respective species!). Supplement regularly with fresh food and minerals

Our tip

Please check the weight of your birds regularly and adjust the daily feeding amount accordingly. It is also advisable to have an annual health check-up with a veterinarian who knows birds. Also remember to give them fresh water (several times) a day!

Tolles Futter für eine gute Abwechslung

Das Futter ist super Klasse mein Papagei hat sich sofort drauf gestürzt .Es hat richtige Gurkenstückchen drinnen wie auf dem Bild .Es riecht super lecker . Der Preis ist ok .
