Large Parrots Nut Delight

The nut treat is specially developed for large parrots with higher energy requirements. The balanced and varied main feed contains extra peeled ingredients to reduce the risk of aspergillosis. The mix consists of 49% oily seeds, 33% floury seeds and 18% nuts.

Among the nuts included are walnut kernels, for example, which are rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Walnuts also contain the vitamins of the B group and E, as well as potassium, zinc, magnesium, iron and calcium. Pecans also consist of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. They also contain the minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. Vitamins A, B, C and E make the nuts a healthy snack. The Brazil nuts contained are small nutrient bombs that provide the bird with a large number of vitamins and other nutrients and trace elements.

The nut treat can be given to macaws, cockatoos, grey parrots and other large parrots as a main or supplementary food. It is also important to give them fresh food every day.

Our tip
Please check the weight of your birds regularly and adjust the daily feed amount accordingly. It is also advisable to have an annual health check-up with a veterinarian who knows birds. Also remember to give them fresh water (several times) a day!
