Large Parakeets Base Mix

The basic mixture provides a basis for feeding large parakeets from the Asian and Australian range. These include, for example, the King Parakeet, the Alexander Parakeet or Grass Parakeets (Neophema). But this mixture can also be given to cockatiels or agapornids as a nutritional basis.

The basic mixture for large parakeets contains 83.5 % floury seeds and 16.5 % oily seeds and can be adapted and expanded according to the individual needs of the respective species. For example, grass parakeets require a high proportion of grass seeds, which can be added to the feed. Asian parakeets can be fed vegetables, berries and fruits, depending on the species. All large parakeets are happy with herbs and flowers, which can also be purchased separately from us under individual components.

For old or sick birds, the basic mixture can also be added to the three main feeds Large Parakeets Energy Plus, Large Parakeets Vegetables & Herbs or Large Parakeets Berries & Blossoms to enrich them with seeds containing flour and oil.
